Well, I bought something. Two somethings. I bought "Healthy Bread in Five Minutes a Day" and an illustrated first aid book.
They both sound like really good things to have around, but that's going to be the tricky part. I will have to be so, so careful to not justify and rationalize if I am going to make this challenge something that really makes a difference.

Day 1
I have decided to see how long I can go without buying more stuff. I
am still going to go grocery shopping, but even that I am going to try
to be more judicious about. I have gotten pretty spendy lately. The
house is full of just ... stuff. I thought at first that I needed to
start throwing a bunch of things away. Some of that will probably still
happen. But instead of running to a store or getting online every time I
think I want or need something, I am going to see what I can do with
what I already have. Instead of it being the first thing I think of, I am going
to try to make buying something my last resort. I will get creative and "use it
up, wear it out, make it do, or do without."
So today will be a little bit of a compromise. It is my birthday today. I was going to buy the ingredients to make a chip dip that my grandma used to make because I really like it and I thought that would be yummy to munch on today. I'm going to pass on that. But I am still going to get take-out from a local Thai restaurant for my birthday dinner. ;)
